The Walrus' Rating:

Starring: The bad news is that this is yet another James Bond knockoff. The good news is that this time they got someone to play the lead who does it right. Lisa DeLeeuw stars as agent 38DD, and shows the swagger, wit, and sexual adventurism of the original Bond character. This is her film and she makes the most of it. John Stagliano (7 years before Buttman!) is her fellow agent and lover, who dies in action early in the film. Lisa is given the case he was working on, and encounters Blake Palmer, a wealthy dealmaker, Bridgette Monet, his mistress, and Billy Dee and Mike Horner, CIA agents sent to help her. Their performances are all sound.

This is a pretty good production for porn. There is a good variety of sets and locations, although a few of the sets were pretty crude. The technical work was done very well. The script was fairly witty. Of course, the main problem for this and the other Bond knockoffs is that every real Bond film is a lavish production, and the knockoffs suffer in comparison.

If you agree with me that Lisa was a very erotic individual, this scores high because she is in most of the action. She does scenes with, in order of appearance, John, Bridgette, Blake, Billy, and Mike. The only non-Lisa scenes pair Bridgette and David Cannon, and Nicole Black and Michael Morrison. Most of the time I would gripe that there should have been a better variety of women, but not here. I never tire of watching this star.

Lisa was not a versatile actress who could succeed in a wide assortment of roles, but when she was given a role like this that matched her own personality, she was superb.

The plot is not very clever, and a scene would oftern end and a new one start leaving the viewer wondering how she got from point a to point b. Porn viewers, however, are usually tolerant of this sort of shortcoming.

A bravura performance by a hall-of-famer makes this a 9.
