Veil VHS Video
Veil Description: "She started as a video virgin. Fresh from Australia. The blush of youth still in her cheeks. Then she realized there was a passion inside her, wanting to emerge. She signed with Vivid. And began to explore her sexuality. And now, she's ready for another plateau. Witness Veil, the new video, shot on film. It's not just another movie. It's another Diedre."

| Lance Long's Movie Review (1) |
| Lance Long's Rating: | | |
Starring: Diedre Holland, Cameo, Victoria Paris, Aerial Knights,
Jacqueline, Randy Spears, John Dough, Cal Jammer, Chaz
Vincent, Axel Wolf. Diedre and Victoria look about as sexy
as ever in this one, but their performances are not
remarkable.
What did you think of the film's production
values? Very high--shot on film, real sets, some semblance of a plot,
and lots of sexy extras appearing as dancers in the film.
The plot is mostly about a class for strippers in the fine
art of strip tease, and we see some of these dancers in some
pretty sexy little get-ups, especially Victoria and Diedre.
Better than average, but not as erotic as it could be, given
the basic premise of the movie. You may think at first,
"All right! We're going to see strippers having sex!" But
there is way too much footage of these girls practicing
their routines, etc. in the class. A little of this would be
sexy, but it takes up half of the movie and gets boring.
Suprisingly (and to my disappointment, as a Diedre fan),
Victoria's two sex scenes are the most interesting in this
movie. She plays a professional dancer who's taking the
class to improve her technique. But she doesn't dance in a
club--she does private dances in her customers' home. We
get a sample early in the movie, and as you might expect,
the private dance leads to sex with her customer. This is
such a great fantasy that it's pretty hard to screw up in
a movie. Then at the end, after the girls' dance recital,
she has sex back stage with boyfriend/pimp Randy Spears,
still all dolled up in her stage costume, and that too was
an above-average Victoria scene for me.
The excessive dance class scenes and, to a lesser extent,
just the plot itself. Diedre joins the class to try to get
boyfriend Jon Dough interested in something besides "wham-
bam-thank-you-ma'am" sex in the dark, but you've got to
wonder what his problem is. All of the girls are in the
class for similar reasons, and that just doesn't seem
realistic.
I'd give it a six, mostly on the basis of its above-average
"production values. " Too bad, because I think this could
have been a much sexier flick than it was.
